Starting her career as an intern at DOGO, Evla is now a part of our team as a designer. We made a joyful interview with Evla about her career and dreams.
DOGO: Hi Evla! Can you tell us about yourself?
Evla: Hi I’m Evla, I was born in İzmir. I live in Karşıyaka. I graduated from the department of Graphics in Nevvar Salih İşgören Cumhuriyet High School. I work as a designer now.
DOGO: How long have you been working at DOGO? What is the story behind?
Evla: I’ve been in DOGO for a year and half. I came here thanks to Nevvar Salih İşgören Cumhuriyet High School. At first, I thought it would be very difficult because DOGO is a very big company for me. I was so scared, but everyone treated me well and helped me so much. I am so grateful that I stayed here. Everyone was so sincere, like family. Sometimes there were sweet rushes and sometimes the most enjoyable conversations occurred. In a short time, they never hesitated to take me in to their family. At the end of my internship they asked me to work as a designer, I was shocked! I never expected a job offer. I felt like I have a second family. I drew lots of designs that make me feel alive. We went to festivals and did great photo shoots. During this time, I started the English course within the company and developed new foreign language skills. They gave me great opportunities. That’s why DOGO is not a workplace for me, it’s my family! It is a place that I enter every morning laughing. I can speak all of my problems about work or my personal life, everyone is so helpful… I’m glad that I insisted to work here. DOGO opens the door to many career paths and lets you improve your skills.
DOGO: Can you describe DOGO in 3 words?
Evla: Design, fun and family.
DOGO: What did you feel when you first saw your own design on a shoe?
Evla: Seing your own style on a product which people like to buy surprised me! Also, I felt so happy to see my own designs on a bag of a passenger in the bus, on a man’s shoe or on a store shelf… I say, “This is my piece of art”. It gives me peace to taste this feeling at a very young age.
DOGO: Where do you see yourself in the future?
Evla: I see myself and DOGO more developed in the field of Graphics, in the future. However, I can’t be selfish I would like to thank all of the DOGO creative team I learnt everything from them. I never want to leave this family halfway.,
DOGO: Thank you Evla!
